Victoria Lanteigne, PhD, WELL AP

Chief Executive Officer, Best Spaces Design Institute

Victoria Lanteigne is the Founder of Best Spaces and the Chief Executive Officer of the Best Spaces Design Institute, the organization that operates and maintains the Best Spaces Standard.

With a background that bridges design, public policy, and research, Victoria has been leading socially mindful design efforts for nearly 20 years. Victoria brings an interdisciplinary lens to architectural research with the aim of developing industry standards and frameworks for practical application. She is passionate about elevating the concepts of health, equity, and inclusive design as critical components of building performance, and was instrumental in the development of the universal/inclusive design credits in LEEDv4 and WELLv2. In addition to her work with CIDIE, Victoria serves as the Co-Director of the Alliance for Inclusive Design Practice and Research at North Carolina State University.

Victoria holds a Master of Public Policy (MPP) from George Washington University and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Design from North Carolina State University's College of Design.   

CIDIE Role: Victoria leads the overall strategic growth and implementation of the CIDIE Standard.
